URW Community is a Federally chartered credit union insured by the National Credit Union Administration (a US Government Agency).
URW Community Federal Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or volunteers in: The City of Danville, Pittsylvania County, Caswell County and their immediate families.
 
 
 
Our first credit union office was no office at all, in fact, it was a brief case! Since that point in time, we have two branches, 50 Million Dollars in assets, 19 full time employees and over 8500 members. All of this is made possible with the assistance of a 7 member Board of Directors, a 5 member Supervisory Committee and a 5 member Asset & Liability Managing Committee.
We hold an Annual Meeting once a year at which we elect our Board Members who then appoint Committee members.
We are a non-profit organization committed to providing a comfortable place for our member/owners to borrow and save. We support charity organizations both locally and nationally and live by the creed of "Taking Care of Our Own".
